Fees

For the 2024-2025 school year, the fees for middle school sports will increase from $85 to $90 per sport per athlete. As an example, if your child participates in a winter and spring sport, the total participation cost is $180.

The athletic fee covers approximately 20% of the total cost of participating in the athletic program, with the District paying for 80% of the total costs, such as coaches, transportation, uniforms, equipment, and supplies. The increase is due to the 33% rise in officiating fees that will be implemented in all CHSAA sports next year.

In case your family applies for and qualifies for free or reduced lunch, you can have the fees reduced or waived. Please contact the SGS office if this is a hardship for your family.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the new policy, please feel free to contact Karen Draper, Assistant Principal/Athletic Director (kdraper@ssk12.org).

All sport fees must be paid in full and all sport forms, including the sport contract and the physical form (signed by a doctor) must be submitted in the school office before student participation can begin.

Sports physicals should be conducted by the student's pediatrician.
